Story Mode : Rig's Saga

• The Viking High King is murdered and his Regal Horn is stolen by a man named Hagen.
• This event kickstarts a saga that will take Rig, his son and heir accompanied by his right-hand man Brand through the new continent of Northgard.
• The continent where he will make new friends and foes and discover a much greater threat than Hagen, and the reasons behind his father's assassination.

Choose your clan
In order to complete the 11 campaign chapters, the player will have to master the specificities of the 6 first clans and tame the unforgiving wilderness of Northgard.

Since the beginning of Northgard's colonization, 5 new clans have joined the battle, introducing new ways of playing and battling.

After each additional clan release, Northgard is upgraded by free major content which add new ways to play, and allow you to discover all the possibilities that Northgard offers you.

NORTHGARD RAGNAROK
The map you'll be playing on when choosing Ragnarok is completely devastated. Your path towards your opponents may be guarded by dangerous creatures! The center of the map is occupied by a new special tile: the Volcano

NORTHGARD RELICS
The knowledge of building Relics has just been rediscovered. Every clan can choose between 5 common Relics and each clan has one specific relic. Each clan can only have one relic per game and can only use the relic it creates.

NORTHGARD CONQUEST
Northgard Conquest is a standalone game-mode that can be played solo or co-op, with a succession of various challenges offering a gaming expansion of +100 hours. The difficulty of the co-op mode will be based on strong collaboration between players.

The Clan of the Kraken knows first hand how dangerous the sea can be. They worship the gigantic Creature, fearing it's brutal might, honoring it's instinctual knowledge, and using its powers when he deigns bestow them.

The clan's capacity to thrive is tied to the terrain because of its maluses on non-coastal areas. However, with enough access to shores, kraken benefit from fisheries producing good and stable food income, which can easily be sold against kröwns and lore. Its unique resource, Wyrd, can be scarce at the beginning but will become more abundant as the settlement extend. With high levels of Happiness thanks to the Norns and its military knowledges, kraken will be able to summon in the later stages of the game vast armies that would be eventually reinforced by a Valkyrie and deadly Spectral Warriors.

• No commercial Victory. No port. No Lighthouse. Can build Fishery on lake tiles and beaches to assign fishermen.
• +50% colonising and Wood building cost on non coastal zone. -30% Attack Power on non coastal zone.
• Can build Hörgr to assign Norns. Only female vikings can become Norns. Replaces Brewery.
• Norns produce Happiness and Wyrd.
• The Clan of the Kraken starts with 400 Wyrd.
• Wyrd can be used to activate special abilities, or transform Norns into mighty Valkyries

You gain 400 Wyrd.

You are warned of events long before they happen (~5 months).

During the attack of the kraken event, your clan is feasting.

• 500 Fame : Howl from The Sea Master

Each enemy unit killed outside your territory have 30% chance to become Spectral Warriors under your control (max 7).

Spectral warriors bring unhappiness to the zone controller.
